Mentorship Matters!
NCI in Schools will implement a Community in Schools mentoring program in your school district! This program will provide one-on-one and group mentoring, to include social circles and de-escalation sessions with at-risk youth.
PURPOSE
- Encourage avoidance of risky and unsafe behaviors
- Decrease violence and disruptions in schools
- Empower students by using culturally responsive best practices
- Identify and reduce chronic behavioral issues and suspensions by students
- Directly address learning loss by encouraging a love of learning and increasing school attendance rates
GOALS / OUTCOMES
- Demonstrate measurable outcomes as it relates to reduced rates of: long term suspensions, learning loss, and absenteeism
- Students gain knowledge related to skill development, career planning, interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and communication skills
- NCI in Schools seeks to receive positive reviews/surveys from educators regarding the added benefit of mentorship for their students
- Enhance school safety by creating a positive school culture

NCI in Schools enjoys pouring back into the community!
We had the pleasure of donating $1,000 in scholarship money to NCCBSBM, an organization that provides a forum for discussion and exchange of issues, concerns, ideas and strategies designed to improve opportunities, close achievement gaps. The check presentation was conducted during the 2023 North Carolina School Board Association conference, held in Greensboro, NC.
